Research Interests
Our research combines numerical simulation and experiments to understand and predict the nonlinear and ultimate behavior of structures and structural materials.
- Nonlinear analysis of steel structures
- Constitutive modeling for cyclic plasticity, damage, and fracture
- Computational modeling of timber structures and timber joints
- Displacement and strain measurement using digital image correlation (DIC)
- Applications of machine learning, Bayesian inference, and uncertainty quantification to structural engineering
